It’s almost that time of year again when we start decorating for the holidays. Decking the halls wouldn’t be complete without the perfect tree, and what better way to bring in the season than with the smell of a fresh tree, lit to perfection. To help get you started we’ve included a few of our favorite Christmas Tree Farms here in Central Texas.
Papa Noel’s is an easy option for someone looking to grab a tree from a convenient location in the Austin or San Antonio area. Opening on November 17th, Papa Noel's offers Noble Firs from Oregon and Fraser Firs from North Carolina. All trees are pre-cut and ready for pick-up or delivery (small fee applies for delivery). Tree prices vary depending on type of tree and size. Papa Noel's also offers a variety of freshly made wreaths. You may also get a sneak-peek of Santa picking out his own tree if you're lucky!
Elgin Christmas Tree Farms is located just east of Elgin and opens November 25th. They only offer Choose n’ cut Virginia Pine and Leyland Cypress for $15 per foot. The farm will provide you with everything you need to secure your tree to your vehicle to transport it home. Before you head home, don’t forget to visit their Christmas Cottage. You’ll find it filled with Christmas trinkets, tree ornaments, and freshly made wreaths. Elgin Christmas Tree arms are not offering pre-cut fir trees for the 2022 season due to shortages with their suppliers.
Evergreen Farms located just south of Elgin opens November 25th. They have a large selection of cut-your-own Virginia Pine and Leyland Cypress. They also have pre-cut Noble Fir from Washington State and Fraser Fir from North Carolina. You will need to bring your own measuring tool but the farm will provide everything you need to secure your tree to your vehicle for transporting it home. After choosing your tree, head to the gift shop for Christmas ornaments, trinkets, freshly made wreaths, and hot coco; and visit the corn maze, nature trail, farm animals, and playground. If you are visiting on the weekend, head to the campfire area to roast marshmallows with the family!
